What Information We Collect

Analytics

We use a third-party service called TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, non-personal usage analytics. This includes events such as feature interactions. TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-preserving. Data is anonymised before leaving your device and cannot be tied back to an individual user. We only use this data to improve our services and understand what features bring value to you.

We intentionally exclude sensitive data from analytics. We do not track which skincare products you use, whether you applied them on a given day, or your skin goal, photos, etc.

Health and Skincare Data

The app stores your skincare routine details, daily skin check-in logs, photos, and skin profile including skin sensitivity locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync (see below).

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your routine data is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to us.

Camera

The app requests camera access to capture daily skin check-in photos. These photos are stored on your device as part of your daily log. They are not uploaded to any server by us.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store any payment information.

How We Use Collected Information

1. To improve the app and understand which features are most useful.
2. To diagnose crashes and technical issues.

What We Do Not Collect

• Personal identification information.
• Device advertising identifiers.
• Precise location data.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter via the website, we collect your email address solely to send you updates about Liminal. We do not share this with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

The only third-party service that receives any data is TelemetryDeck, which receives anonymised, non-personal usage signals for analytics purposes. You can learn more at telemetrydeck.com.

Children's Privacy

Liminal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. Changes will be reflected in the updated date at the bottom of this document.
